I Can't.

“O Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!” 7 The LORD replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the LORD, have spoken!” 9 Then the LORD reached out and touched my mouth and said, “Look, I have put my words in your mouth!” Jeremiah 1:6-9

God must laugh (or cry) at ALL of our "I can't" statements. In this case, Jeremiah, says "I can't speak for you!" WHY? "I'm too young" -- is that your excuse?? Or maybe your excuse is:

- I'm too poor.
- I'm too ugly.
- I'm too shy.
- I'm too fat.
- I'm too messed up.
- I'm too uneducated.
- I'm too new to all this.
- I'm too afraid.
- I'm too busy.
- I'm too … well, I don't know … but, I'll come up with something!

I love God's response to Jeremiah (and ALL of US)! He says: 

"Don't tell me you can't, I don't do CAN'T! As long as you have me, YOU CAN! I'll lead you, coach you, direct you and protect you! I'M IN THIS TOO!" (chilly paraphrase)

Then God touches him and puts His Word in his mouth! And, BOOM! Now all that's left for Jeremiah (and YOU) is to simply OPEN up and let God out! This is where life gets super exciting! FO’REAL!

You, yes YOU, can do absolutely anything through Christ, because Jesus gives YOU strength!
